Mr.Cline retired as a First Sgt. in the US Army after 24yrs, in 1988. He worked for the Emmett J. Bean Finance Center.He is surived by his Wife Avis J. Cline;3 sons Douglas O.;Johnny B. and Travis G.5 sisters Sonja Roberts;Betty Pearson; Lowetta Gallagher;Sherry Kampman; Billy McMoullagh; 2GC

  1. Avis & family,
    We met you & Brian many years ago when we were taking Square dance lessons. We immediately became very close friends. We done a lot of dancing,golfing,vacationing,laughing & joking and our friendship only grew stronger. We will miss Brian’s phone call asking,”are you hungry? Where do you want to go out to eat?”
    We enjoyed the spur of the moment activities. Brian & you are in our prayers. We miss Brian more than words can express. We will always be there for you. Brian is dancing, & golfing in Heaven now. May he rest in peace.

  4. Uncle Shorty was the type of person you wish you could see a lot more even though you didn’t. Last time I saw him was at my other uncle’s funeral about a month ago and I hadn’t seen him until then since my cousin’s graduation in 2000. When he came up for a visit i had a very nice chat with him and his wife. Under my impression he was not a man of many words but when he did speak he said great things and could make you smile and laugh and feel special. I couldn’t even tell he was sick. That day even under one of the worst situations was my best memory of Uncle Shorty even though I don’t have many memories of him. I hope he rests in peace and is able to see Fred up there.

  10. Although I worked with Brian briefly in Trans Pay, I first met him through my cousin. Since he never seemed to quite remember my name at first, he just called me “Hey, Couz” with that southern drawl of his. Then it became a joke between us. I’ll miss that, and the fact that he always had a smile and cheerful word for eveyone. Our prayers are with you and your family. I hope all our fond memories of him here at work can help ease some of your pain. He will be truly missed.

    My condolences in your time of grief. Celebrate Brian’s spirit, his sense of humor, his positive attitude. I think Brian would want it that way, even though I did not know him very well.

    The last time I saw Brian was at a Colts game a few weeks ago; I think the opponent was the Carolina Panthers. I learned of Brian’s passing when I arrived at work this past Monday. We were celebrating the ColtsÆ victory on Sunday over the Denver Broncos. I remembered our meeting at the game, how he was enjoying the game, despite the Panthers beating our Colts.

  13. I had only known Brian a short time, but long enough to know that he was a good soul that could brighten up any day. He made me smile whenever our paths crossed. My deepest sympathy for his family. May God bless.

  14. I will miss Brian’s humor. He always spent breaks telling jokes and stories. Brians been a good friend for 10 years.

I will never forget my fishing buddy and I will never forget Brian for the hours that he spent unselfishly to hand make a quilt for my little Emilee when she was born.   23. I first worked with Brian 10-11 years ago as his lead tech in Mil Pay. He was a conscientious worker and a good person. Our paths crossed again 5 years ago when he was assigned to Trans Pay. He hadn’t changed. 🙂 He will be sorely missed.

  24. Brian faced his difficult struggle with determination, courage, and a positive attitude, he is in a much better place now, his suffering is over and he is at peace.   34. Needless to say, I’ve only known Brian for a short time and that was during our 2003 Christmas Bash. His bubbly spirit and genuine smiled let me know that no matter what you go through, you can always smile. His outgoing spirit is a tremendous inspiration. I know that he is at rest now.   48. I met Brian when I moved here from Wisconsin in 1995 to work on the Great Lakes project in Expenditure. Brian always had a good sense of humor that just brightened my day when I thought everything was going wrong. I know Brian is resting with the Lord in heaven and will be taken care of for eternity. Brian’s family is in my prayers along with the good memories of my dear friend.

    Dick and I want to express our deepest sympathy in the passing
    of Brian.

    We will miss Brian, his gentle spirit, his laughter and kindness.
    I don’t ever remember a harsh word coming from him. I will
    especially miss the hug I received everytime I saw him(everyone
    needs to be hugged and he was especially generous in giving them
    out to friends and loved ones).

    We will miss all of the fun things we did with you and Brian, all
    of the ’special’ golf outings and ’mystery dinners’, those were
    special times we will always remember.

    But Brian is still with us in spirit and that makes it easier and
    also knowing he is waiting with open arms until the day we meet again.

    May God bless you and be with you in your time of sorrow. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Words cannot truly express my heavy heart with his loss.

    Brian’s spirit, laughter, warm smile, funny stories, kind words, positive attidude and gentle hugs have touched the lives of so many, including mine and those of my children…Lisa, Christina and Ryan.

    My life has definitely been enriched by knowing Brian. I feel so blessed to have been able to share so many wonderful memories with him (and you): the special golf outings (including Survivor Golf), the mystery dinner, wonderful trip to Florida, many Thanksgiving and Christmas family meals, the creative and imaginative family skits on Christmas Eve, dinner and a game of dominoes on New Year’s Eve, attending the Colts/Denver football game in the Dome, and so many more.

    Most of all I shall cherish and treasure the many special talks we had. Brian taught me so much for which I will be forever grateful.

    Take comfort, Avis, in knowing that Brian’s is now with God, pain free, in a better place. Until we meet again, Brian, may you rest in peace. You will be greatly missed, my friend.

  70. I knew Brian all of my life because he was my Uncle Shorty. I knew him as a very kind person. Never had a harsh word to say about anyone. He always made me laugh even in the worst of times. He made a promise to my mother when she passed away to always look out for me and my sisters and to me he kept that promise till he died. He was there for me for every major event in my life for that I am grateful.For this reason I will truely miss my Uncle Shorty.
